Setting out my shingle

I should’ve done this ages ago.

As of today, I am officially a full-time writer.

I’ve spent — “mis-spent” would be overstating — the past 16 years in the corporate world. I have had the experience of putting my MBA to work daily. I have presented to C-level executives for Fortune 100 companies and high public officials. And I have always been in the business of getting at the facts and analyzing them.

I’ve also been able to but a house and put some funds aside to put my kids at least part the way through college. I’ll even be able to retire someday.

But I now have the luxury to return to what I love: the written word. I’ll still take the odd consulting assignment, and I’ll certainly continue my avocation as a novelist, but I’ve always been able to make a living and greet each day with a smile as a journalist focused on business and finance. And, after so much time at IBM, I’m adding technology to my portfolio.

So if you’re looking for a dependable freelancer to augment your staff, drop me a line and let’s see how we can help each other.
